About Me...

I am passionate about education and improving outcomes for children and young people particularly those with SEND.

I am an experienced outstanding school leader and teacher with over 20 years’ experience. My most recent substantive post was Headteacher of an outstanding primary special school in Lancashire. I have also held Deputy Headteacher and Assistant Headteacher positions.

Throughout my successful career I have taught in both mainstream and specialist settings with a wide range of whole school and curriculum responsibilities.

I was designated as a Specialist Leader in Education (SLE) for SEND, behaviour and phonics. I have additional qualifications in Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and have successfully achieved NPQH.

I am now an Independent Education Consultant / Adviser and Specialist Teacher providing a vast range of support, advice and training to colleagues from a range of sectors across the North West (Lancashire, Sefton, Liverpool, Knowsley, St Helens, Warrington and Wigan).

Regular Advisory/School Improvement Support (Termly or half termly) including Headteacher Appraisal

Whole School Behaviour Reviews including Behaviour Policy writing and support

Whole School SEND Reviews (Half Day / Full Day)

Specialist Teacher Input

SENDCO Support including coaching and mentoring

SEND Clinics (Half day 2-3 pupils / Full day 5-6 pupils) – Working collaboratively with SENCO, Teachers, Support Staff and Parents (if appropriate). Each pupil discussed in turn identifying strategies and next steps to be implemented in the classroom.
